Metro Outdoor was formed in 2005 with headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The principles of the company have over sixty years of experience in the Outdoor Advertising industry. The stated goal of the company is to develop and operate extremely high profile billboard locations which are a step above what is currently offered in the market. The two principle partners in the company have strong ties to Yakima as they both lived in the Valley for over twenty years. This gives them a very extensive knowledge base of Yakima and the Valley, the business climate, and where new Outdoor Advertising structures will be most effective. They have also brought to Yakima the latest in Digital (LED) technology and are operating the only full motion display in the market. This display, located at West Nob Hill and South 1st Street, is like watching a 300 square foot high-definition television.
Peter A. Grover

Peter literally grew up in the Outdoor industry. He spent his summers working for his Dad and without question, learned all aspects of the billboard business. After college he returned to Yakima in 1991 and joined Obie Media as Yakima Sales and Real Estate Manager. Approximately 80% of all billboard locations currently operating in Yakima were developed by either Peter Grover or his dad Steve. He had a highly successful career with Obie before moving on to become General Manager of a very large Outdoor company based in Indiana. After the sale of this company, he became a partner in a national company that developed over 2,000 new locations across the United States. He not only managed the real estate portion of this company but also personally sold hundreds of new sales contracts. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 2005 forming Metro Outdoor and has developed over thirty, new, high profile locations in the Phoenix market. Peter maintains many strong friendships in Yakima. He has attended two Eisenhower class reunions and still considers Yakima his first home.

Stephen F. Grover
PARTNER
Steve has spent his entire career in the Outdoor Advertising business. After graduating from college in 1964, he and his father formed Grover Advertising and purchased the Outdoor Advertising facilities in Wenatchee and Yakima, WA. He moved to Yakima with his family in the early 1970’s and operated Grover Advertising for many years. His three children all graduated from Eisenhower High School and maintain many close friendships in the Yakima Valley today. Grover Advertising was eventually purchased by Obie Media, a national media company with home offices in Eugene, OR. Steve became General Manager of Obie for many years prior to Obie’s sale to a national company five years ago. Along with extensive knowledge of the real estate side of the business, Steve has a strong sales background including sales to many current and past Yakima businesses.
